Since 2009 · Bursa & Istanbul
Sancak Student Residences began with its first residence, opened in Bursa in the 2009–2010 academic year. Today, across four separate residences in Istanbul and Bursa, we offer university students a safe, comfortable place to live that supports academic success.
From the day we were founded we have put a single principle at the centre: to make up, with institutional discipline, for what a student misses when living far from home. This principle stands behind every decision we make, from architecture to menu planning, from security protocols to guidance services.
How do we work?
Each of our residences is run by an experienced residence manager and a full-time support team. Our cleaning, security, kitchen and technical teams are our own staff; we do not subcontract service quality. Thanks to our student representative system, student feedback is brought directly into management meetings every month.
Where are we today?
Our women’s and men’s residences serve Üsküdar in Istanbul, and our men’s residence serves Osmangazi in Bursa. Our women’s residence in Görükle, Bursa, meanwhile, operates under the Zeytin Ağacı Women’s Student Residence brand.
Over seventeen years we have welcomed more than 6,000 students. A great many of our graduates now send us their siblings, relatives and friends — for us, that is the most meaningful measure of success.
When we accept a student into our residence, we also take on a promise made to their family. For seventeen years we have made every decision with the weight of that promise; the standard we set at the start of term is the standard we hold at the end of it.
